Cascade pays customers for functional IT assets, remarketing devices though digital markets, dealer channels and wholesale markets, and share a percentage of the actual resale basis.   • Optimize the resource potential of electronic assets from the time they are retired by our customers until they reach their next best use including resale, redeployment, donation, parts recovery, and recycling;
  • Protect the environment, human health and safety, data security, and social responsibility;
  • Commit to continual improvement, prevention of pollution, and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prevent the Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Electronic Waste and other Materials of Concern in violation of relevant laws, treaties, agreements, and the e-Stewards Standard;
  • Protect workers’ rights to a workplace free from harassment and discrimination;
  • Protect workers’ rights to a workplace free from harmful pollutants and hazardous conditions;
  • Prohibit the use of forced and child labor;
  • Restrict the use of Prison Operations; and,
  • Restrict the improper disposal of Materials of Concern in accordance with the e-Stewards Standard.

The Cascade team is made up of a diverse team of more than 90 employees with nearly 600 years of experience in institutional asset management, recycling operations, risk management, worker and health safety programs, employee relations, financial accounting, law, government regulations, and electronic disassembly R&D. Together, Cascade’s staff and partners are eager to provide our customers with consistent, quality service.

OUR CERTIFICATIONS & GUIDELINES

Cascade is always continuing to improve business standards by receiving certifications that apply directly to the importance of the industry.

Cascade is among the first companies to receive the title Certified e-Stewards Recycler. This comprehensive audit process samples all of Cascade’s operations, processes and people to ensure compliance with this demanding standard that works to prevent the export of hazardous e-waste overseas, protect worker health and safety, and ensure customer data is protected.

Cascade’s NAID AAA Certification is for: Onsite & Plant-based Computer Hard Drive Sanitization Operation, including Onsite & Plant-based Physical Hard Drive destruction, Electronic Media & Non-Paper Media destruction for both Cascade’s Indianapolis, IN and Madison, WI facilities.

Cascade’s electronic and physical data destruction methodologies conform to NIST 800-88 Guidelines for Media Sanitization Revision 1 “clear”, “purge”, and “destroy” sanitization categories. All sanitization methods employed by Cascade meet the NIST 800-88 “clear” specifications at minimum. All physical destruction methods meet the NIST 800-88 “destroy” specifications.

Cascade became the first private, for-profit computer refurbisher accepted into the MAR program, which provides low-cost, legal licenses of Microsoft Operating Systems and applications loaded by Cascade onto refurbished PCs destined for non-profits, schools and low-income individuals. Cascade installs hundreds of licenses onto computers donated into the community each year.

Cascade Asset Management is ISO 9001:2015 Certified for all operations and activities at its electronic asset management and demanufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and Indiana. The facilities initially earned ISO 9001:2008 certification beginning in 2012. In 2017, we upgraded to the 2015 version. This internationally recognized independently audited certification standard evaluates a company’s quality management system and its commitment to continual improvement in customer service.

Cascade Asset Management became ISO 14001:2004 Certified for all operations and activities at its electronic asset management and demanufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and Indiana beginning in 2006. This internationally recognized independently audited certification standard evaluates a company’s environmental management system and its commitment to continual improvement in environmental performance.
