We compiled results from a survey of 54 enterprises and organizations collectively representing about 231,100 employees and 12 industry sectors to provide current trends on issues related to IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and the more general IT Asset Management (ITAM) discipline. New observations in this year’s report include the rising importance of customer service when choosing an IT asset disposition (ITAD) partner, followed closely by managing environmental risks. Those companies surveyed for the report stated the remote workforce trend continues to affect their IT management programs, especially in terms of returning used assets. The publication also addresses how economic changes are lowering the resale prices for used IT equipment and mobile devices to pre-pandemic levels.

• Managing Data Security and Privacy Risks ranked #1 as critically important when selecting an ITAD provider. ITAD Customer Service rose to the #2 spot this year.
• Survey respondents anticipate an increase in the number of remote workers at their organization: 36.9% this year vs. 30.1% last year. IT management programs will continue to evolve to meet off-site employees’ needs.
• Resale values for used IT equipment and mobile devices have dropped to pre-pandemic prices.
